This is adorable! I love how you've gotten down to the doll's level with a flat angle. Usually one would be looking down on such small items. At first glance the dolls look like real people, especially because of the black and white (nice effect). The camera distance is medium, so you can see the background, but there is definate focus on the "dancers." I feel like I'm in a child's head imagining the dolls are real and their dancing is real romance. The greys are all soft, there's no harsh contrast which makes for a relaxing effect. Love this picture! ~Anne P.S. Is that Princess Leya??
Cool photo! It took me a few seconds to realize that the picture is of two action figures (Princess Leia and Han Solo?) dancing and not actual people. Because the photo is black and white, the sunlight streaming through the windows makes it so it's hard to see more than their outlines, and the photo is taken at a slightly low angle, it makes the photo look more serious and realistic. Because the photo is a medium shot, though, you eventually notice the oversized windows, curtains, and table leg in the background that show that the dancers are dolls, not people. The photo is kind of from the point of view of a little kid laying on the floor and imagining a romantic ballroom dance.
funny pic! Star Wars is always good. The flat angle that you used on Hon and Leia makes it seem like they are more than just action figures and could be real people dancing. It gives them a lot more power than they would have if we were standing over them like we usualy would. Also the bright light from the window gives the picture a sense of lightheartedness and makes it seem like the floor and the room may be something much more fun. I like the medium shot that you used because although there isnt much to see in the background it makes Hon and Leia seem more important because we can tell for sure that they are alone. Maybe some of your action figures(NOT DOLLS ANNE! THEY'RE STAR WARS!)jcame to life and decided to go for a dance when no one else was around. Or maybe a child was imagining their wedding and thought that Hon and Leia would look good on the dance floor. Cool Picture!
Heeheehee! I LOVE it! Not only does it serve a rather pleasent and funny picture, but it's a nice example of photography. I like how the black and white coloring and soft lighting gives the picture a peaceful, feel-good emotion. Also, the fact that you're level with the subjects makes you feel the playfulness and innocence of the dancing toys. Kinda makes me wish I was a little kid again...*sigh*. Anywho, great photo, love the choice of FIGURINES (I agree with Chris), it made me laugh. May the force be with you, Ellen. ; )
OH MY GOODNESS, THEY'RE DOLLS!!!! On first glance, I assumed they were professional dancers--or maybe even your parents--that you went to go watch. But now that I look at it close up, they're Star Wars action figures! I love how you got down to equal flat angle with the dolls for the shot. It makes the viewer feel as if he is part of the audience watching this performance. The lighting in the background is effective and offers a romantic sort of mood to the set. So creative and it shows that humans aren't the only ones that can dance!
